Terms of Use
Pocksy is a record-keeping tool, not a financial adviser. It shows you what you told it. It does not give investment, tax, legal or financial advice, and nothing it displays should be treated as a recommendation. Decisions about your money are yours; for advice, speak to a qualified professional.
Agreement
These terms are between you and Himanshu Kumar Singh, a sole trader in the United Kingdom. Installing or using Pocksy means you accept them. If you do not, do not use the app.
Apple's Licensed Application End User Licence Agreement also applies. Where the two conflict, Apple's terms take precedence.
Your licence
You get a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Pocksy on devices you own or control. You may not copy, sell, rent, reverse-engineer or redistribute it, except where the law says you may regardless.
Your account
An account is optional; the app works fully as a guest. If you create one you are responsible for the security of the Apple or Google account you sign in with. You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Account → Delete account.
Premium subscriptions
- Premium is an auto-renewing subscription, offered monthly or annually. The price is shown in the app in your local currency before you buy.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase.
- It renews automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours of the end of that period.
- Manage or cancel in iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
- Premium removes advertising, raises the limits on reminders and stored photos, and enables cloud backup.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under their policy, not by us. We cannot issue them.
Advertising in the free version
The free version shows advertisements. We do not control which specific advertisements appear and are not responsible for the content of, or anything you buy from, an advertiser.
Your content
Your transactions and photographs remain yours. You grant us only the permission technically necessary to store and return them to you — nothing more. We do not use your content to train anything, do not sell it, and do not share it except with the processors listed in the Privacy Policy.
You are responsible for what you upload. Do not upload anything unlawful, or anything you do not have the right to store.
Accuracy and backups
Pocksy records what you enter. It cannot verify that what you entered is correct, and calculations are only as good as the data behind them. Do not rely on it as your only record for tax, legal or accounting purposes.
Your data lives on your device. Keep your own backups — through iCloud, the in-app cloud backup, or the export feature. We are not able to recover data lost because a device was lost, wiped or damaged.
Availability
The core of the app works offline and will keep working. Photo storage, sign-in and cloud backup depend on services we do not run, and may be unavailable at times. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service and may change or discontinue features, giving reasonable notice where a change is material.
Liability
Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not permit us to limit.
Subject to that, Pocksy is provided as-is, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, or loss of data. Our total liability in any twelve-month period is limited to the amount you paid us in that period — which, for a free user, is nothing.
If you are a consumer, you have statutory rights that these terms do not affect.
Ending it
You can stop using Pocksy at any time by deleting it. We may suspend access if these terms are seriously or repeatedly breached, and will explain why where we can.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and its courts have exclusive jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the UK, you may also bring proceedings in your own jurisdiction.
